Eric + Lora: a photographer and make-up artist duo currently residing in Charlottesville, Virginia

Eric is a Fine-Art Lifestyle Portrait and Wedding Photographer with a photojournalist approach to the photographs he makes. In 2006, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art Photography from The University of Virginia. While at UVa, Eric worked for Holland Photo Arts, the school newspaper, and was a member of the swimming and diving team. Eric traveled to Nicaragua with a group of students to work with orphans and fell in love with, not only the kids, but photography. He's traveled back almost a dozen times and continues to document the lives of children through their portraits, especially over the last four years. Eric is a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the International Society of Wedding Photographers (ISWP), and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International.

Eric has photographed weddings worldwide in Brazil, Dominican Republic, New York, California, Oregon, Arizona, North Carolina, and Texas, but mostly in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. While capturing emotional portraits is crucial, catching the moments that are happening all around, without interrupting the wedding, is how Eric works. Lora is a make-up artist for weddings and portraits, complementing Eric's passion for photography. Before moving to Charlottesville, Lora graduated from Houston Baptist University where she studied writing and political science. She has a natural talent for art and beauty which has been enjoyed and celebrated by her framily and friends throughout her life; and during school by her teachers when selected to design make-up for school theatre performances. Eric and Lora celebrated their wedding in December 2008 at the Clifton Inn with close friends and family. They currently reside in Charlottesville, Virginia with their son Henry. During 2008, they renovated a building and opened up a small coffee shop in the heart of the university community. Para Coffee serves a wide variety of people, but during the school year most are students from UVa. They both like to travel and have adventures from 19 countries around the world, plus destinations all over the US.

They feel very blessed to call Charlottesville home with an amazing group of people as close friends and colleagues.
