In July, we took a trip down to Alabama with Lora’s family, and on the way back we stopped off in Chapel Hill, NC to do a shoot with Lara Casey + Emily Thomas and the amazing team at Southern Weddings Magazine. Working with the Southern Weddings team was probably one of my top career highlights so far – they are truly some of the nicest people Lora and I have ever had the chance to meet.

My wife was born in Mississippi and raised in the south with awesome parents. And some of her favorite memories consist of her mom snagging a homegrown tomato, slicing it up, dousing it with salt and pepper and just eating it. This shoot was really fun for her and gave me a great appreciation for southern culture and the celebration of family and tradition. Hope you all enjoy!
